It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to Indi Setu — an event born of conviction, curiosity, and collaboration. Conceived as an intellectual and cultural bridge between India and the United Kingdom, Indi Setu brings together changemakers from across disciplines to address the shared challenges and transformative possibilities of our time.

As the Founding Director of the Global Collaboration Forum (GCF), I have always believed in the power of networks — networks that foster knowledge exchange, catalyse partnerships, and unlock innovation across borders. GCF, launched in Kolkata in 2024, was envisioned as a space to enable global good — in the realms of healthcare, science and technology, education, environmental stewardship, art, culture, and music

We live in a world that demands fresh thinking. From the climate crisis to the future of healthcare, from reimagining education to nurturing sustainable entrepreneurship, our century is one of redefinition. Indi Setu responds to this urgency by inviting participation from policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs, artists, and students alike — those who seek convergence over silos, and purpose over protocol.

One of the most exciting features of this summit is the Planet Pitch — a nationwide challenge that empowers young Indian start-ups to present sustainability-focused solutions to global audiences.

The India-UK corridor has never been more vital. India stands today as a nation transformed — digitally savvy, globally engaged, and future-focused.
